Brenda Figueroa’s ensemble with the Gabriel Battaglia Quartet, which makes tango music with guitar, two bandoneons, violin and piano, together with the singers Monica Rodriguez and Anibal Civilotti and the four dancing couples, immerse the senses in the atmosphere of the tango.

With a collage of music, dance and images by young Argentinian and German artists, contame present their Tango Argentino in “Tango, una historia” – as Jorge Luis Borges, the Argentinian philosopher and writer, wrote: “One could say that it has its place in the universe, probably in a modest but happy way.”

The tango is not just music, poetry or dance. Tango is also more than just a tradition or a fad. It is a movement that connects people elsewhere in Europe and with people in Argentina.
